Product Review: Garnier Pure Active Multi-Action Toner + Anti-Imperfections Roll-On

Last semester was the most tiring and most stressful semester for me. That was the time when I always lack sleep, go to school sleepy, and spend the rest of the day cramming for a lot of requirements to pass! All college students experience that, actually, especially when you are in your Junior years. Talk about so much requirements to fulfill and so many units to take before you get to your Senior year. Because of these circumstances, I developed pimples on my face that they became a nuisance for me because they were so big! Big pimples were a big distraction on my face. They were so noticeable that I felt embarrassed with them, granting that I have a white complexion which makes the pimples very prominent on my face because of their pink-red color. I tried treating them with my regular facial wash and toner and it didn't help. I had no budget to go to a derma clinic for my problem, so I visit the department store to check for pimple remedies. Then I saw this combo:

This combo comes with the facial wash, and they are packed in a blue-green box with a photo of Georgina Wilson (endorser of the product). I got the combo for only 379php (not sure, I already forgot) and this became my miracle bringer for my face. lol.

(I purchased this last March and gave it a review just now so I can't give you a photo of the combo product. But you can check the Garnier Anti-Imperfection combo on your nearest department stores.)

These two products are a must-have if you are suffering from serious breakout problems. They have the ingredient called "Salicylic Acid" which dries the pimple, treating it and making it gradually fade from the surface of your face.

This is the photo of the back of the toner where you can see the product description and the ingredients.

And this is how the anti-imperfection roll-on looks like:

This roll-on comes with its own box and you can check its description and other information at the back part of its box.

So how did I make them work? Here:

I used them twice a day (Every morning after taking a bath and every night before I go to sleep). First, I wash my face with the Garnier Pure Active facial wash and pat it dry. Then I moisten a piece of cotton with the Garnier Pure Active toner, gently swabbing it on my whole face, concentrating more on the affected area. Expect stinging sensations when you apply this on your pimple; that is because of the salicylic acid. After the toner, I apply the anti-imperfection roll-on on my pimples.

I religiously did this for two weeks and I have noticed that on the third day, my pimples were all dry and not so red anymore! In a span of two weeks, my pimples were already gone. Now, since the formula does not contain ingredients that will minimize pimple scars, you have to expect pimple spots after treating them. In my case, I didn't mind the pimple scars anymore. They are visible on my face (because of my complexion) but I don't mind about it now, because what's important for me is to erase the pimples on my face and look clean again. :D

This combo did not work for my sister's condition. She has pimple breakout on her forehead and she tried almost all of the products that she could get from the department store and nothing worked for her so she went to a derma clinic to have her pimples examined by the doctor, and she was given topical medicines and medicated toner and facial wash for it. If this product did not work on you, consult a dermatologist.

Product name: Garnier Pure Active Toner + Anti-Imperfection Roll-On

Pros:

* It comes in a combo (which is very SULIT)
* It keeps its promises (removing pimples)
* It's herbal (they claim to be; they have this "HerbaRepair")
* One bottle of the toner and the roll-on will last for many months because of its concentrated formula

Cons:

NOTHING!

Rate: 10/10
Will I buy another Garnier product? ABSOLUTELY! Garnier keeps its promises and you can really see the results in just a few days. Though I currently have no pimples now, I still use it because I haven't finished the bottle yet. It's a good toner for me because I have oily combination skin. I don't use the roll-on now, but I am keeping it in case that I'd have another pimple one of these days.

Product Review: Shawill 6 Color Cream Eyeshadow in no. 07

Last March while I was shopping for personal care products I came across the Shawill Cosmetics stall in Harrison Plaza. I checked out their eyeshadows and saw that all their palettes are shimmery, which is a plus for me! I have been looking for good shimmery eyeshadows and Shawill gave me a satisfaction for their products. I tested the colors in my skin to check if it would suit my complexion, and it turned out real great. So I bought the palette no. 07 (128php) because I love the pink and purple colors especially when they are combined! This is the palette that I bought:

At the back of the product you can see the product description and the expiration date.

This palette is great for daytime or night-time use. This is composed of six colors: Blue (as in Aquamarine blue), gray, purple, black, pink, and white. Let me give you a swatch:

You can see how shimmery and vibrant the colors are when they are applied to the skin! It's best to use when you put an eyelid primer first, so the product would have something to hold on to (and also to avoid creasing and smudging).

Now, the downfall. When I started to use this product with their applicator, I saw that the products were somewhat "namumuo", and it resulted to a lot of fall-outs on my eyelids (as in my eyelashes and cheeks got the shimmers so I have yo remove them and re-apply my mascara and foundation). The compact looked really messy after I used it. Here:

I have to use a cotton to swab off the excess powders on the compact because I really hate messy compacts. Other than that, the applicator doesn't come cheap. It transfers the color very smoothly, you don't need to use different brushes to apply the eyeshadow on your eyelids.

Will I buy another Shawill product? YES. I am a fan of shimmery colors and next time, I would love to try their naked palette color (I forgot the number but I have tested them on my skin and it looks really, really nice!). Fall-outs are manageable, what you would do is just get small amounts of color until you get your desired amount and intensity.
