Product Review: Ever Bilena Advance Make-Up Remover

Since I started using makeup I don't have any other product in using to remove my makeup other than Baby Oil. I have been completely contented with it because it's cheap and I just have to slightly wipe off my eyelids, face, and lips with it on a piece of cotton ball and after a few seconds, my face is already free from makeup.

I purchased Ever Bilena Advance Make-Up Remover just so I could try using it on my face. This product is probably the most affordable makeup remover in the market.

This is now the product looks like: (Front)

This is the back part:

As you can see, there's still a price tag and it only costs Php95. I don't know what the blue part of the fluid is called but I think it's the agent that cleans and removes the makeup from the face.

This product pretty much does what the baby oil does. It's just that, when I used it to remove my eyeshadow, my product got into my eyes and it was painful. There was a burning and stinging sensation directly in my eye balls (and hapdi, friend!). So I told myself, I'm not gonna use this on my face again, especially on my eyes. Now I am using this product to clean my eyeshadow applicators and other makeup tools.

Will I buy another one again? Maybe, for cleaning my makeup tools.

Product Review: Zen Zest Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil has so many uses that one of them is keeping your skin from bacteria. This versatile oil has also been used for medical purposes which includes curing insect bites and other skin diseases.

To tell you the truth, I am a woman who has psoriasis. I have developed this because of too much stress everyday. Psoriasis is not developed because of bad hygiene or whatsoever, and there is also no cure for it. Psoriasis will come and go, even if the doctor will recommend you topical ointments. Those topical ointments will only heal psoriasis for a short time and before you know it, they're there again.

So I was browsing the web for remedies for psoriasis and one of them is Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil, as what was said on the internet resources, is used for treating psoriasis.

I can't say it helped. It didn't.

Anyway, let me tell you about Zen Zest tea Tree Oil. This is how the product looks like:

This is Zen Zest Tea Tree Oil, 15 mL. They don't have bigger or smaller sizes of this product.

Product Description: Warm and Spicy Tea Tree Oil is extracted from the leaves and twigs of the Australian Tea Tree. It has a proven history of over sixty years of safe usage. With a lot of properties, such as for massaging purposes, it absorbs oil, soothes and deep cleans your skin leaving it blemish free.

Direction: Apply directly on the desired skin. Can be use as massage oil. USE SPARINGLY.
Ingredients: Water, Denatured Ethyl Alcohol, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tea Tree Oil.

First, this product is probably the CHEAPEST Tea Tree Oil in the market (only costs Php150). Other brands would have their tea tree oil priced from Php400 to Php700 which is a real pain-in-the-pocket for me. Since I realized that tea tree oil did not help in treating my psoriasis, I mixed tea tree oil with my facial moisturizer, alcohol, with my shampoo, conditioner, facial wash, and lotion. I did that because I'm after the anti-bacterial purposes of the product (and also not to waste it).

Second, the bottle is VERY STURDY. I have (accidentally) dropped this for a lot of times and it doesn't show any crack at all.

Third, since it's small, it could fit into any bags and pouches (if you want to bring it during vacation or whatsoever).

Now, ladies (and gents), if you want to buy tea tree oil, choose the one from Zen Zest and you will save a lot of money.

Product Name: Zen Zest Tea Tree Oil

Pros:
* Cheaper compared to other tea tree oil products
* Has bigger content (15 mL) than other tea tree oil products
* The bottle is very sturdy
* Bottle cap is tight, no worries for spilling out the product

Cons:
* Nothing

Rate: 10/10
Will I buy another one again? Yes. This has become a part of my hygiene now. =))

Product Review: Herbench Tickled Pink Moisturizing Lotion

When it comes to moisturizing lotion, I am very particular when it comes to the smell. I love sweet-smelling lotions that would smell like prefume when I use it. I am not a fan of Bench products, but I bought this moisturizing lotion because it just smells so good! I think this lotion has a perfume/body spray variant which has the same smell, but I ought to buy the lotion only.

This product is available not only to Bench boutiques but also in supermarkets. This is how the product looks like (the product description is poetic, lol)

This is the back of the product where you can see the usual product description, ingredients, and other information.

This is not a new product. This has been topping the market ever since it was released. I often saw college girls have this in their bags because not only does it bring a sweet smell in your skin, it also moisturizes your skin, leaving it soft and smooth.

When you use this, I swear you will not be needing any more cologne because of its fragrance. It's not overpowering, but it will leave you a very nice (and very sweet) smell that will make you feel fresh all day.

I got so addicted with this product that one bottle only lasted two weeks for me because I applied it on my skin every hour or so. Haha. :D

So for all of you who wants to have a lotion that is very fragrant and will not consume much space on your bags (or even purses), I recommend this lotion for you to try.

-
Product Name: Herbench Tickled Pink Moisturizing Lotion

* It is absorbed quickly on the skin
* It will not leave you a greasy (or sweaty) feeling
* It doesn't consume much space

Cons:
* Nothing.

Will I buy another product like this again? YES. I already used two bottles!

Product Review: Hollywood Style Whitening Lotion

Most women want to achieve that natural-looking fair skin. Not only that, they also want to make sure that the products that they use would not harm their skin or cause any kind of side effects that would affect their skin fairness and condition. Other than that, most women (including me) would want to have that one effective product which would be very much affordable.

So let me introduce you this lotion that I have used once this summer  called Hollywood Style Whitening Lotion. This lotion comes in two variants: one that's in the bottle (which costs Php195), and this "squeezable" one (which costs Php200).

This is how the product looks like. You can see the brand (which is Hollywood Style Herbal Formulas) and other product description. It claims to whiten freckles, reduce darkening, and make skin fairer and brighter.

This is the back part where you can see the product description, direction, ingredients, and other information.

A close-up shot for the product description:

A close-up shot for the directions and ingredients. The products claims to be herbal but it has other chemical products. But this is not an issue for me.

Other product information:

This product claims to whiten any part of the skin. I bought this because I want my ankles to whiten. (My ankles got dark due to sitting on pavements and on other cemented floors during our PE class three years ago).

The question is: Did it whiten my ankles? It did not whiten my ankles, but it did lighten them. I was so happy with the results because my ankles were so dark (like greyish in color) and now they are only one shade darker than my skin complexion. I saw the changes when I finished one bottle of this product. I did not afford to maintain using this product because I was very busy and I got no time buying another one of this.

I must say that the lotion is very sticky. It does not feel good when you apply it on your skin, and the smell is not nice. But when it comes to lighten certain dark areas, trust me when I say that this product is very effective.

Product Name: Hollywood Style Whitening Lotion

Pros:

* It can be found in most supermarkets and drugstores
* It claims to be herbal
* IT IS SO EFFECTIVE

Cons:

* It does not smell nice

Rate: 10/10

Will I buy another product like this? YES. I would just have to finish the lotion that I am currently using (which is a moisturizing lotion, no whitening effects or whatsoever)

Product Review: Glam Works Foaming Acne Wash

Here I go again facing a dilemma on sprouting pimples on my face. This is because of too much stress and sleep deprivation. Since I don't have my Garnier Facial Wash, Toner and Roll-On anymore, I decided to buy another Garnier bottle at the department store. UNFORTUNATELY, and I mean unfortunately, the saleslady told me that their Garnier products are out of stock. HOW COULD THAT EVER HAPPEN? Garnier is my very trusted brand when it comes to combating pimples. So I searched for another facial wash and found this GLAM WORKS FOAMING ACNE WASH.

I bought this because there are two factors that convinced me to buy this product. First, it is so cheap. This is only for Php99. Second, it has salicylic acid, tea tree oil, and aloe extracts. Salicylic acid is known for drying up pimples fast, tea tree oil is has its antibacterial/antifungal properties, and aloe extracts is known for moisturizing the skin.

This is the back part of the bottle where you can see the product description, the active product ingredient, warnings, directions, and other product information.

This one is a close-up shot for the product description:

On the left side of the product you can see the manufacturing date and the expiration date.

And here you can see that the product has a seal. Hooray for this!

The packaging is nice, you would really get attracting to buying the product. To be honest that's the main reason why I bought this. Except for the very cheap price, I liked the packaging so much.

I used the facial wash for one week to give this a review. Okay, so the first time I used this, I was surprised because of the smell. It smells like PLASTIC. You know how Barbie dolls smell when you opened them on their box? It smells like that and I don't like it.

When I used it on my face, it does not foam a lot. Sure, it bubbled when I put a portion of water on my hands with the product, but when I put it on my face, the bubbles tend to slip out of my face.

Then the part where I hated it the most is when I rinse my face. IT WAS SO SLIPPERY AND SLIMY and I have to wash it with lots of water to get rid of the slippery texture on my face. Take note, it's not smooth, it's slippery. It's like you washed your face with slime. Yes, it is because of the aloe extracts.

After I wash my face, I did not feel clean. Salicylic acid has this kind of property wherein it will dry your face so your pimple would dry up, but after using this product for one week, I haven't seen my pimples dry, and it did not clean my face very well.

* It contains salicylic acid, tea tree oil, and aloe extracts
* The product is sealed upon buying

Cons:
* It's not foamy
* It feels very slippery when you use it
* I HATE the smell. I do not like it, I HATE IT
* Upon using this for one week, it does not do any change on my pimples at all.

This is the worst facial wash that I have ever used in my life. I will not buy any more of this.

Product Review: Aido 12-piece Eyeshadow Palette

I am a college girl, and like most girls who are on the same age as me, I am fascinated with makeups, especially when they are really affordable. I was trying to find an eyeshadow palette which would not cost me too much, and I have stumbled upon this 12-piece eyeshadow makeup by Aido cosmetics. It comes with a small Fashion21 Lip Gloss, and it only costs Php100! It's really budget-friendly to all women out there, especially to those who are in a tight budget. Aido is a sister company of Fashion21, I think.

This is how the product looks like:

So as you can see here, the palette comes with many colors to choose from. Very nice for something that's only worth Php100. :D It has its downfalls, though.. (Let's discuss them later!)

The shades can be applied on its own or you can make a combination from the other shades. Fun!

This one is a photo of the  palette with flash. It's already dusty because I've used it a lot of times before I make a review!

This is how the palette packaging looks like. :)

So what are the good points of this product?

- The packaging: It's sturdy and slim.
- There are many colors to choose from.
- Just for Php100, you get 12-color palette, and an eyeshadow applicator.
- The product comes with a free lip gloss.

And now, the bad points:

- The colors are NOT PIGMENTED. :(
- It does not stay long; you really need to apply primer before you put them on.
- I did not like the applicator. :(
- You need to re-apply the eyeshadow often (like every hour) because the color fades away quickly, especially if you have oily combination skin.

Even though this products has its good and bad points, I still want you girls to try this out. It may not work good on me, but maybe it would work well on you. ^^,

Product Review: Zenutrients Tea Tree Shampoo + Conditioner

Just this summer I have developed a serious scalp problem. It became very dry and I noticed that my scalp is flaking. It's not itchy, but I don't feel comfortable with the flakes sticking out of my hair, especially if they are quite large in size, compared to dandruff. Since I have no money to go to a derma clinic, I tried searching the internet for home remedies that could cure my scalp problem. According to most articles that I've read, tea tree oil is one of the best oils to use for flaking scalps because it moisturizes the scalp and combats the fungi that causes the flaking. I tried searching in malls for shampoos that have tea tree oil but sadly I haven't seen anything. I went to organic shops and I saw that they have tea tree shampoos, conditioners, and oils, but it was very expensive so I had to back out.

Last Saturday, we went to Festival Supermall for us (me and my family) to hang-out. I saw this stall that sells organic products. I checked out their products and saw that they have tea tree shampoo and conditioner. I asked for the price and knowing that it was affordable, I bought one bottle of their tea tree shampoo and conditioner. This product is made by "Zenutrients", and in the label you can see their product name, product description, and everything you need to know about each bottle. Let me give you some photos:

These are the products that I've bought, Zenutrients Scalp Care Shampoo and Scalp Treatment Conditioner. At the lower part of the label you could see there the product description which says "Soothes the scalp for dandruff free and stronger, shinier, healthier-looking hair", and the size of the bottle. The shampoo is 250mL and the conditioner is 200mL.

Now this one is the back part of the bottles where you can see the instructions for use, the ingredients, the company address, and the size of the bottle. (The label sticker is already peeling because it got wet when I used it)

Close-up shots:

Zenutrients Scalp Care Shampoo (Tea Tree) Back

Zenutrients Scalp Treatment Conditioner (Tea Tree) Front

The first time I used this combo, I noticed that my hair became really smooth, as in REALLY SMOOTH. I waited for my hair and scalp to be completely dry to check if it worked out on my scalp, and guess what? It did! I cannot say that it completely removed the dryness and flaking in my scalp, but there was an improvement in its condition. The flakes in my scalp began to be soft (which is good news because they fell down easily when I comb my hair, not like before wherein I have to take them out with my fingernails, causing my scalp to bleed), and my hair became so smooth that I got addicted into touching it every once in a while. My hair also became less frizzy and easier to comb. :D

Price:

Zenutrients Scalp Care Shampoo (Tea Tree) - 225php for 250mL size
