Product Review: Zen Zest Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil has so many uses that one of them is keeping your skin from bacteria. This versatile oil has also been used for medical purposes which includes curing insect bites and other skin diseases.

To tell you the truth, I am a woman who has psoriasis. I have developed this because of too much stress everyday. Psoriasis is not developed because of bad hygiene or whatsoever, and there is also no cure for it. Psoriasis will come and go, even if the doctor will recommend you topical ointments. Those topical ointments will only heal psoriasis for a short time and before you know it, they're there again.

So I was browsing the web for remedies for psoriasis and one of them is Tea Tree Oil. Tea Tree Oil, as what was said on the internet resources, is used for treating psoriasis.

I can't say it helped. It didn't.

Anyway, let me tell you about Zen Zest tea Tree Oil. This is how the product looks like:

This is Zen Zest Tea Tree Oil, 15 mL. They don't have bigger or smaller sizes of this product.

Product Description: Warm and Spicy Tea Tree Oil is extracted from the leaves and twigs of the Australian Tea Tree. It has a proven history of over sixty years of safe usage. With a lot of properties, such as for massaging purposes, it absorbs oil, soothes and deep cleans your skin leaving it blemish free.

Direction: Apply directly on the desired skin. Can be use as massage oil. USE SPARINGLY.
Ingredients: Water, Denatured Ethyl Alcohol, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Tea Tree Oil.

First, this product is probably the CHEAPEST Tea Tree Oil in the market (only costs Php150). Other brands would have their tea tree oil priced from Php400 to Php700 which is a real pain-in-the-pocket for me. Since I realized that tea tree oil did not help in treating my psoriasis, I mixed tea tree oil with my facial moisturizer, alcohol, with my shampoo, conditioner, facial wash, and lotion. I did that because I'm after the anti-bacterial purposes of the product (and also not to waste it).

Second, the bottle is VERY STURDY. I have (accidentally) dropped this for a lot of times and it doesn't show any crack at all.

Third, since it's small, it could fit into any bags and pouches (if you want to bring it during vacation or whatsoever).

Now, ladies (and gents), if you want to buy tea tree oil, choose the one from Zen Zest and you will save a lot of money.

  1. hello ms andrea!
i came across your blog in search of organic products and making comparisons if zen zest has better products than zenutrients (quality-wise, effectivity, and affordability)
on this review, you mentioned that you have acquired psoriasis.
how long have had this skin condition?
my father had had this condition since before retiring which was a couple of years back. he is in his 60s.
i had always been (and still currently) in search of topical, oral products that will help alleviate or lessen the itchiness, redness, and swelling on his skin (aside from the medicated products prescribed to him by his doctors since day 1)
i wanted to get your point of view and your recommendations based on your experience on what else can be done to cope with this.
we want to go all organic/natural as much as possible since hes already taking strong oral meds to relieve the itch.

    heres my email --- my.access013@gmail.com

thank you in advance and God bless!
